X-List-Unsubscribe: Send email to mailusers-request@2rosenthals.com X-List-Owner: mailusers-owner@2rosenthals.com On one of my TP T41s, I initially had a problem with NetBIOS not starting after installing Genmac & xwlan 2.0. A check of the network settings didn't reveal the issue. However Netscape had just locked up the WPS forcing a reboot, so I blamed the problem on Netscape and restored from backup the entire boot drive. I may have pointed the finger at the wrong culprit, but this time when I installed xwlan and genmac, NetBIOS over TCP/IP started properly. The only thing, I recall doing differently was xwlan standalone was already installed and configured on another drive, so all I had to do was do the eCenter install. I did this before installing and switching to the genmac driver. Interestingly, this time I didn't get the 'disabled IP' problem. The other T41 had the 'disabled IP' problem and NetBIOS over TCP/IP worked perfectly. For this T41, I solved the 'disabled IP' problem by comparing the OS2.INI registry settings between the two T41s and adding the missing settings to the 1st T41 registry. The 'disabled IP' problem went away and I still had NetBIOS connectivity. Go figure! I have not tried xwlan 2.02 yet. Will let you know what happens when I 'update' to 2.02 Cheers, Chris On Wed, 23 Nov 2005 21:25:06 -0500, madodel wrote: >Thanks to Christian's WLAN 2.02 I now have TCP/IP working over the Intel 2100b >in my T42p.
