So if it's a kernel issue, it's only a kernel issue for the 2200 >card you have. OK, I did some more tests, trying to find a combinations that might work. I installed the eCS 2.0 alpha, and tried GENMAC 1.00 on that, same problem, TRAP 0008 Then I installed eCS 1.2 media refresh, with the IBMNUL driver and just TCP/IP (no LAN or PEER). After installing GENMAC 1.00 and replacing IBMNUL by the Genmac driver for my 2200 => TRAP 0008 I did several experiments with this installation, disabling and enabling stuff in the BIOS, REMing many drivers in config.sys and running docked or stand-alone. The outcome is a TRAP 0008 in 90% of the cases, and a HANG in NETBIND in two cases ... I will take my T42 with to Warpstock Europe, hope we can do some constructive debugging there :-) Regards, JvW PS: I have seen one other report about a TRAP 0008 with the Intel 2200 ========================================================================= DFSee Home: http://www.dfsee.com; Jan van Wijk; Author of DFSee - info@dfsee.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to steward@2rosenthals.com with the command "unsubscribe os2-wireless_users" in the body (omit the quotes).
