I abandoned hope and interest in "G" or "A" wireless for eCS/OS/2
without  a bridge-adapter a year or more ago.  Would someone who knows
examples of retail products  using these supported chips venture the
names of some? Including the type of transmission and type of card.

GenMAC 1.00 for Wireless Adapters supports a variety of mPCI (not

Please read the inf, which includes instructions for how to submit new 
hardware for inclusion in future releases. So, even if you cannot use 
GenMAC RIGHT NOW, please download the driver, and follow the 
instructions to submit data for your (as yet unsupported) card. This is
 the only way we will be able to encourage further development of this 
long anticipated product!
