Mark, I recently had some trouble with my IBM tri-mode card (31P9701; not on your list) not wanting to let the T30 boot (I got a "multiple ethernet devices detected" error...I've not seen that one before). There is currently no tri-mode OS/2 driver, but that should be changing soon, when GenMAC is released (everybody: please, no flames concerning the release of the GenMAC driver; it's coming, so please be patient). That said, I don't have any specifics available on which mPCI cards actually work, sorry.

Hello Lewis:

Thanks for your reply.  I had intended to answer the
earlier posts but have been unable to free up time to
even check my email.  I would like to reassure the
person who suggested that I check the OS2 hdwe site
in Belgium that it was the first place I looked.  I
found it confusing because of a tendency to discuss
the "PCMCIA Card"="PC Card"="credit card"=... in the
same paragraphs as the "miniPCI cards"="mPCI cards"=
"Mini PCI cards"="PCI cards"=... , seemingly saying
that there was no OS/2 driver for any of the latter.

Please understand that I find www.os2warp.be to be a
generally very helpful source of information and very
much appreciate the contribution of Jonas Buys and
others to the OS/2 community.  At best, I was hoping
to find a grid with the OS/2 support for each
described.

I also checked eComStation.Ru and found what I already
thought I knew, that the 22P7701-08 high rate wireless
LAN Mini-PCI Adapter working well with the Prism driver.
At $241.00US, this costs about a third as much as my
T30 sells for used.  Another contributor has suggested
it to be possible to obtain in a used or refurbished
condition at a reasonable price.  There was also an
entry for the PRO/Wireless 2200BG stating that there
is no driver for it.

I will try to find a used or refurbished 22P7701-08 as
soon as I can free up some more time.

Best Regards,

- Mark

Hello:

There are several miniPCI card models on eBay that may

>>
12P3657 IBM MINI PCI 802.11b WIFI/MODEM COMBO           $29.99
>> 22P7701 IBM High Rate Wireless LAN Mini-PCI for T30     $240.99
26P8159 IBM Thinkpad MINI PCI Wireless Combo Card WIFI  $23.50
26P8472 IBM Mini PCI Wireless Combo Card 802.11B        $22.99
26P8519 802.11b WiFi LAN Mini PCI Card for ThinkPad     $129.75
91P7301 IBM 802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN MINI PCI CARD WIFI $54.50
92P7406 Cisco Aironet WiFi 802.11b Mini PCI by IBM*     $29.50

*One eBay description says it is supported.

Other than the 22P7701 that is listed for the T30 on IBM's
site, does anyone know which might actually work under OS/2?

TIA.
