XWLAN already has a facility to call a script upon a given event (connect/disconnect). From the Help: When using a REXX script for (dis)connect events, the following variables are passed to it in order to allow to take appropriate action within the script: WLan._EVENT WLan._PROFILENAME WLan._SSID WLan._IPCONFIG WLan._IPINTERFACE WLan._IPNETMASK WLan._DRIVERNAME WLan._DRIVERTITLE WLan._SCRIPTDIR Does this help?
