At first blush, I'd say that you should not use WiFiStat and XWLAN on the same machine. That said, I, too, believe this to be a power management issue. Has anyt
hing changed insofar as drivers are concerned? What version of APM.SYS are you running? Any power management settings in the BIOS?

> Hi,
>    I have been using my T30 with built in Wifi (with IBM prism driver) for the past year with no problems with XWLAN. However, in the last week something weir
d is happening:
>
>    I can use my Wifi once on boot with WifiStat from IBM, i.e. it scans and finds the network, but if I turn the radio OFF, Wifistat says that the "Card is no
t found" and I cannot turn on the radio again because the option is greyed out.
>
>    In the XWLAN widget, I have XWLAN turn off the radio on boot up and if I try to turn on the radio, it says that it cannot find the card.
>
>     This is really annoying, because I used to be able to turn the radio on and off without problems. Has anyone seen this before?
>
>       Furthermore since my Thinkpad was still under warranty, I was able to get a replacement from IBM and have replaced it. Unfortunately, it still has the s
ame problem. When I boot to WinXP$ the radio can be turned on/off as many times as I wish.
>
>      I have a suspicion that the WIFI card has gone to sleep, maybe there's some way to wake it up? And I cannot insert/reinsert the card again because it's a
 MiniPCI card and not PCMCIA.
