However, in the last week something weird is happening: I can use my Wifi once on boot with WifiStat from IBM, i.e. it scans and finds the network, but if I turn the radio OFF, Wifistat says that the "Card is not found" and I cannot turn on the radio again because the option is greyed out. In the XWLAN widget, I have XWLAN turn off the radio on boot up and if I try to turn on the radio, it says that it cannot find the card. This is really annoying, because I used to be able to turn the radio on and off without problems. Has anyone seen this before? Furthermore since my Thinkpad was still under warranty, I was able to get a replacement from IBM and have replaced it. Unfortunately, it still has the same problem. When I boot to WinXP$ the radio can be turned on/off as many times as I wish. I have a suspicion that the WIFI card has gone to sleep, maybe there's some way to wake it up? And I cannot insert/reinsert the card again because it's a MiniPCI card and not PCMCIA. Thanks for any info.
