Please tell me, how on Earth could I "release" someone other's  property/product?

I believe Andy clarified Dani's statement. Willibald doesn't want to get bogged down in a support nightmare, dealing with "your driver won't work with my card," and "why can't you just fix this?" sorts of issues. This end of the spectrum needs to be solidified before he is willing to make his work public, and I can fully understand his reasons.

I share Kris' frustration, but don't condone his expression.  There are a couple of people on various lists who mention Willibald's GENMAC driver as the greatest thing since sliced bread, but when one asks where one can get it, there is a deafening silence.  Googling willibald doesn't turn up anything useful.  Several months ago, when Daniela mentioned GENMAC, I asked how to get it and she replied that she would not be a gateway to Willi, which I respect.  However, to keep mentioning this great thing that, as Kris says, only the select few has access to is very frustrating.

The link you provided to os2warp.be doesn't provide any useful information.  As Kris implies, it is very frustrating for us simple folk to be tantalized but kept out.
