I expect I am likely to be lucky to get 24k (I expect 19-21).  I am 
thinking satellite may not do what I  need but I need to be able to 
connect with vpn (in vpc) to connect to a terminal server.

About what I pay for cable a month (but no initial modem charge).  
Uploads, other than what is required for the vpn/terminal server 
connection can be done other than from home.
