What I find interesting is that they REQUIRED the use of another US Government agency, USPS,
for delivery of the response. There probably is a requirement that they do so... It got me
thinking that with open source and open standards, the US Government could fork off
OpenOffice and/or Firefox and dictate that everyone communicate with the official US Government
version of these products. Billions in software licensing would be saved and they could control
and own the right to view and create their own documentation. They wouldn't have to fork the
source, but could if they wanted to. It's GPL licensed...
My guess is that all the pension funds invested in MSFT would prevent this from happening.
