Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI AdapterThat's not a genprism compatible device.
Can't work, doesn't work, no way. (-:
I know that. When I said I was looking forward to having to the windows
drivers that are patched to be used with OS/2 I was not referring to
anything to do with the GENPRISM drivers. The GENPRISM driver is being
used with a Linksys Instant Wireless Network PC Card. I would much
prefer to use the internal wireless NIC and not have to use the PC Card
that I now use, mainly because it appears that the internal NIC has a
much greater range than the PC Card.
So is there another driver that can work with either NIC?
You may have missed this recently posted on the yahoo ecomstation mailing
list by Roderick Klein:
"1. Wireless NIC support.
There is a closed beta of a driver to load windows network drivers under
OS/2/eComStation. Its working except more news on this in the coming 2 to
3 months.
(thats an estimate). This will support the mayor 7 wireless chipsets."
From prior posts in other mailing lists, IMO, I am confident that the PCI
Adapter Intel 2200 will be covered which is what my T42 has. As for the
2100, do not know.
