My DSL connection has been down for two days. Verizon service appears to be
nonexistent, they have scheduled an appointment for the 21 and I expect someone
to show up even though it is now fixed. But it is finally back up and running.

No, I did not know that. I had tried the IBMPRSIM driver and it did not work
at all.

That would be great. I would like to be able to use the internal wireless NIC
on this laptop.
