Just to be sure, I installed the card under XP and it scans and identifies the AP by SSID, channel, and security mode so it appears to be a functional card (Cisco 350 from Lew). Under OS/2, the Genprism drive loads and binds with no errors. The PC Card Director (V5) detects the presence of the card (insertion, deletion) but that's about the end of the positives. The PC Director status reports a staus of in but no IRQ, I/O, or memory resources are assigned. It reports the "Cisco Systems 350 series Wireless LAN Adapter" with an assigned Vcc of 0.0 V ?? I suspect some out of date software here may play a part. The copy of genprism.os2 I have is RC4 with a date of 11/01/2004, 43036 bytes. XWLAN (standalone) shows no card found. Tried the various things like moving like moving the device=$icpmos2.sys /G to the end, etc. The lantran.log with the debug setting at 0xFFFF below is what I get. One thing that bothers me is the reference to the voltage settings, but I have no idea what it really means. The antenna mode light is on, the status light gives an ocassional flicker and there is enough heat to indicate that there is power. I have no idea how to interpret the IOCTL errors so any suggestions would be appreciated. One oddity - this laptop uses the O2MICRO PCMCIA controller if that makes any difference. I had a @#$%^&* of a time gettting a version of IBM2SSxx.sys that would run with it. -- Will Honea =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to steward@2rosenthals.com with the command "unsubscribe os2-wireless_users" in the body (omit the quotes).
