Does your ISP assign these addresses to you?

My ISP has allocated five IP adresses to me

OK that answers allot of unasked questions.  So your ISP is doing your routing between the internet and local network.

I'm not really sure what your point is...My IP addresses are all real addresses not internal addresses, so the routing is just the same as any other ISPs.
So you configure all of your systems with a Gateway/Router address? if so is it the same address as your ADSL Router/Bridge?

Or are you saying that all of your IP addesses are visible to the internet?  Surely thats not the case.

Did you try assigning your spare IP address to your WiFi computer and see if get a connection?
I don't think I have the WLAN interface on my wireless router configured
so I wouldn't expect it to connect. Should I assume that it using the same IP address as the ethernet interface?

For now I would work under that assumption.  That has been my experience with other wireless routers.

Your Router/Bridge should have a default SSID but you can change that if you want.
I've just checked and can see that it has an ESSID set to Artem, so it must be something I changed a long time ago since I have a couple of Artem cards. I also notice that the status is set to 'Activating'. Is that the usual status?

I'm not sure.  I would just fire up a wireless workstation and see if it works.

:-)

Nothing ever 'just works' - especially where OS/2 is involved.

I beg to differ.  I too had allot of difficulties with my first wireless configurations.  When I got everyting working I found that I was getting wrapped around the axle about things that didn't really matter.

Setting up WiFi with OS/2 is really easy and straight forward.

In MPTS field of your WiFi computer leave the SSID field blank and your WiFi card will pickup any Wireless network.

What ISP are you using?

It's a small one in the UK.

We do things a little different across the pond.  If your Wired network is bridged then the wireless one should be also.  I wouldn't think you should have to do anything special.  I would recomend disabling WEP while getting it to work.  Once you get it working then you can worry about the security aspects.

I'll give it a go, but am not optimistic.

What's the downside of trying? :)
