I don't think I have the WLAN interface on my wireless router configured
so I wouldn't expect it to connect.
Should I assume that it using the same IP address as the ethernet
interface?

I've just checked and can see that it has an ESSID set to Artem, so it
must be something I changed a long time ago since I have a couple of Artem
cards. I also notice that the status is set to 'Activating'. Is that the
usual status?
