I have added netbios and netbios over tcp to the wifi adapter This creates the following in protocol.ini : [NETBIOS] DriverName = netbios$ ADAPTER1 = netbeui$,1 ADAPTER3 = netbeui$,3 ADAPTER0 = tcpbeui$,0 ADAPTER2 = tcpbeui$,2 It also adds some binding stuff but that is not important. Now ibmlan.ini started out with: net1 = TCPBEUI$,0,LM10,34,100,14 net2 = NETBEUI$,1,LM10,34,100,14 I tried adding net3 = TCPBEUI$,2,LM10,34,100,14 net4 = NETBEUI$,3,LM10,34,100,14 But no go, still hanging. Then I tried assigning a dummy ip to lan0 once the wifi was up. Result - Requester no longer hangs but on the other hand it does not see any network either - ergo it was still trying to get at lan0. I then changed the original two net lines above to net1 = TCPBEUI$,2,LM10,34,100,14 net2 = NETBEUI$,3,LM10,34,100,14 Now it works! So the trick is to have two ibmlan.ini files - I have imaginatively called them ibmlan.lan0 and ibmlan.lan1 :-) So going from one interface to the other requires net stop /Y mv c:\ibmlan.lan* c:\ibmlan.ini where * is 0 or 1 depending on which way I am going. net start requester All I have to do now is hopefully get that into the wlan script file and we are cooking. It would seem impossible to get it to work over two interfaces at once, especially if the first is down. -- Regards Dave Saville =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to steward@2rosenthals.com with the command "unsubscribe os2-wireless_users" in the body (omit the quotes).
