Just an update and a report of success.  I have the Intel 2200bg in my T42p 
working fine with GenMac 1.60 and the WPS no longer hangs on boot.  It 
seems when I backed out GenMac at some point I REM'd out the HELPERW.EXE in 
config.sys and never un-commented it when I re-installed the latest 
version.  Now it works fine except for WLAN monitor 1.2 still says that ip 
interface is disabled: LAN1, despite the fact that I am using LAN0 but I 
think this is related to my using the VPC/2 network driver.  VPC/2 is 
working fine with my 2200bg.  Tomorrow I will setup my 802.11g router and 
see if I notice a difference.
