Let's go one step back. What do you want?
- Surf the web, read mail and/or news
- Use or share files and/or printers
It might be a good idea to focus on one at a time.

For the requester, the magic thing is to keep the protocol.ini and the
ibmlan.ini synchronized.
A "requester could not be started" is no definite indication that
there is something wrong with TCP/IP (e.g. surfing, mailing, etc.).
