I now have the protocol.ini below. The device is internal Intel 2200BG. I selected Intel 2200 in MTPS.
It took several minutes after the following for config.sys to proceed; no error message.
Loaded for Device : Intel 2200 Wlan 8086/4220 ("WRND32$ ")
I closed eCenter/XCenter or whatever it is called. Ran instwgt.cmd.
error: the Driver Interface Module could not be initialized.
There is no LAN connection.
