You should also understand that cardbus cards are different animals under
OS/2. A xircom cardbus network card does NOT need pcmcia and socket
services to work. I only load the cbe ndis driver for my 10/100 nic card
to work. This is because, at base, a cardbus card acts like a pci card on
the bus. Pcmcia director services, at least up to version 5 did not 'see'
the card.
So do not be surprised if nothing is reported. More useful would be
sysinfo or theseus or pci47vdk or such which polls the bus and reports
what it finds.
Also, due to some inconsistencies in the bios/kernel level, cardbus cards
do not suspend or hibernate properly... They turn off, but are not turned
back on. For that, pcmcia services *may* be helpful... or cbenable by Kurt
V (whose last name I cannot spell, so I will not embarass both of us by
trying.. sorry Kurt).
