Actually, I had some trouble with that awhile back (with Warp4) but I don't remember what it was. I guess it would be a good idea to insure that the basic PCMCIA substrate works first, huh?
That would probably be best. You should be able to do a selective install and see what it detects as your PCMCIA chipset. On my Dell I don't think it detected anything. So I installed Card Bus 8 and tried all of the Socket Service drivers until I found one that worked. I'm not even sure where I got the driver that worked. But since you have an older laptop it should be easier I would think.
