Many people would have understood what Lewis said. For those that didn't, it
isn't hard to translate, bu making it a little more verbose:

It depends a lot on what you want from your machine. Most of the world's work
can indeed be done with applications available for OS/2, but there are things
that cannot. Some occupation-specific functions, I am sure, fall into that
category. I can't give you names, but it stands to reason.

If you wish to view films on DVD with a fully developed and mature application,
then, very regrettably, OS/2 doesn't give a complete answer. There is a
program, WarpVision, that works (I use it) but it is a work in progress, and
few would argue that it measures up to more mature programs available on
Windows platforms (i.e. what you enjoy calling "Windy") or on Linux, in its
glorious array of flavors.

I am sure there are other examples.

People who wish to enjoy the best of all possible worlds are not ashamed to run
another OS on a separate machine, or even with the use of a Boot Manager on the
same computer. Others, who may be said to regard operating systems as
religions, will, of course, be reluctant to taint their ideological purity by
doing this, and one can understand their position, even without sharing it.

I have tried to make the point clear with my poor abilities of composition, but
I may have failed. If so, you are welcome to ask me specific questions that I
may not have resolved suffciently. I will try to clarify. Others, of course,
may be able to elucidate the matter far better than me.
