You know, for years, when I've had oddball stuff to do on Linux boxes, I
have relied on the veritable treasure trove of "how-to's" written by actual
users. This is something (I refer to the organization of such material) we
have been sorely lacking since the days of the original WarpDoctor site
(and this is not meant to detract in any way from the excellent ongoing
work being done on the new WarpDoctor site).
>From recent exchanges, it appears that we really do need an
all-encompassing how-to (and I do mean "all-encompassing," as so many folks
seem utterly confused about how to even install a network driver, wireless
or otherwise) for wi-fi setups.
I shall endeavor in some spare (stolen?) time this week to draft something,
post it to the list for comments, and move it to the 2rosenthals.com
knowledgebase. (which does allow for follow-up comments to be posted).
And yes, there is also a need for an updated, easily digested list of
working card/driver combinations along with tips & tricks for configuring,
as well as limitations. Jonas agrees that much of the current content needs
updating and/or correcting.
