I am quite new in this list, and I have no clout here whatever in the
socialogical sense, but I hope I can express an opinion:

I would hope that this group never descends to the level of discourse that you
have just demonstrated. Please find a more acceptable vocabulary.

Nobody has told you to go anywhere. The group is exceedingly hospitable and
helpful, and people are trying to guide you toward successful use of your
equipment. You keep resisting that, and I suppose that even they, at some
point, will give it up for a bad job. 

You have no ground for characterizing the widget as a "toy"; apparently you
have never seen it, how could you know?
