Thanks to both Neil and Julian for their scripts. I'll study them and adapt
them for my own situation. Unfortunately I won't get to experiment with them
for a while, because the Cisco is in the US, where the eBay merchant sent it.
About Neil's remark above: I am still unclear about the apparently shifting
boundary between the function of scripts on the one hand and XWLAN on the
other. Questions will follow, but any illuminating comments will be appreciated
in the meantime.
