If someone with some expertise in this area is on the list, the time has come for a new DHCP client for OS/2, and I'm sure we all agree that IBM isn't going to give it to us. The limitation of a single interface being dynamically configured has become insanely outmoded, and other operating systems handle multiple dynamically-assigned addresses with ease.
XWLAN does an absolutely fabulous job of juggling things, but it's simply not a substitute for what we really need. I WOULD PAY GOOD MONEY FOR THIS. I would also happily - oh, most happily! - participate in any beta testing.
In addition to this, we need an updated NetWare client, which supports pure IP, multiple tree logins, and (well, part of the IP support) SLP in addition to IPX's SAP. It would be great if there was no primary vs secondary interface difference, too (i.e., if the primary interface is down, the secondary interface can't connect to a server, as it doesn't listen to SAPs...who's bright idea was that one, anyway?). Again, for clarity, let me state UNEQUIVOCABLY: I WOULD PAY GOOD MONEY FOR THIS.
