** Reply to message from "Ray Davison" <os2-wireless_users@2rosenthals.com> onI was talking about a wireless ethernet bridge device, such as the Netgear ME101 (http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/2496 ) or the LinkSys WET54G (http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/products/WET54G ).

The best advice for older machines without built-in Wi-FiOr maybe newer machines that don't yet have support?
at this point is probably an external (bridge) device which connects to the ethernet port. These are driver-independent and offer the full range of security and performance (802.11a/b/g/n - I think they come in n).I have a TRENDNet TEW-421PC. Is that the sort of thing you are refereeing to?
No. At least I don't think that is what he was referring to since GENMAC does
not support PC Cards.
What I use with an old laptop that has a wired NIC is a wireless game adapter. There are a few different devices available. What I have is a Linksys WGA54G.
