Mark R | I have a wifi hot point sending radio towards my computer. On the compute= r I have an ethernet card. Into the ethernet plug, I put the 10 inch-long= ethernet-style cable coming from the "bridge", a Linksys 810+ (which nee= ds to be powered). The bridge has its own antenna which will talk to the = wifi hotpoint. In my case hot point to computer distance is about 10 yard= s. The bridge has a chip inside. To configure it, you start your browser = and follow instructions. You do not connect to the regular ethernet for t= his one-time configuration. You need no other software.
