|What's a bridge?  I design bridges but I am sure not the kind to wjich

I have a wifi hot point sending radio towards my computer. On the computer I have an ethernet card. Into the ethernet plug, I put the 10 inch-long ethernet-style cable coming from the "bridge", a Linksys 810+ (which needs to be powered). The bridge has its own antenna which will talk to the wifi hotpoint. In my case hot point to computer distance is about 10 yards. The bridge has a chip inside. To configure it, you start your browser and follow instructions. You do not connect to the regular ethernet for this one-time configuration. You need no other software.

Call linksys 7/24 "support" if needed.
