Just as a suggestion, Actiontec has the Linux code for their ADSL
modem/router/AP on their web site. They use BusyBox for the interface but I'm
pretty sure I saw nearly all the protocol stuff in that source code - but don't
hold me to that as I was looking for something else at the time. It would
probably be a decent case study for what you want to do anyway.
