Truly, it was a labor of love. The people were - as always - just great, and it's such a wonderful feeling to be a appreciated for what one knows, and not just because I happen to be the only guy within shouting distance who'll do a job for a decent price (read: working for money does tend to get boring after a while; it's nice to do some things because I like to do them).

My contribution was only a small part of the whole deal, believe me. You and Stan and the rest of the event team - not to mention the other speakers (take Jan van Wijk, who never had a moment's peace, fixing partitions - for free, I might add) - put in even more time than I did.

I had suggested to Lewis that we change the name next year to
"WirelessStock". ;-)  He was scheduled to give the class twice and gave it
at least 2 more times because people kept asking for it.  Then in the
evenings there was all the time he spent in the hotel lobby helping people
get onto the free WiFi connection they had there.
