While travelling I'd like to take my IPphone and use simultaneously with
computer in both wired and wireless locations.  As some locations have
flaky Wi-FI, I will take along my Cantenna.   Cognoscenti please provide
recommendations for following (if they even exist?):

OPTION ONE (best)
(All-in-One)
A miniature Ethernet bridge (or multi-function e.g. router) with removable
antenna and more than one ethernet port.  Something like WET54G but
*smaller* and > one port.  (WET54G is 8.5 oz vs 2 oz for Asus; but
Asus lacks external antenna and provides only one Ethernet port; I have
one and it is great for what it does.)

OPTION TWO
(Two pcs)
1-Miniature Access Point (like Asus WL-330g or D-Link DWL-G730AP)
   but with external antenna option).
2-Miniature switch (really small) to mate with above, or to use separately
if only Ethernet available in the hotel room).  Something that could even
be powered over PC's USB port like Asus WL-330g would be very
   interesting

OPTION THREE?
(Take my Asus apart and add an external antenna jack?  Doable?)

tks for all help
Jeffrey Race

PS I have the VoIP working great as point-to-point now over wireless from
my Mom's hospital room to the PBX in my house here in Bangkok (using the
Asus device on the hospital's Wi-Fi); also to daughter's dorm room at school in
England.   So now I plan to expand the voice network to carry the IPphone with
me whenever I travel; probably Linksys 841 or 941 but I'd welcome
recommendations for multi-line IPphones  from other vendors if anyone has
strong feelings.   Something smaller would be nice.
