Here's what I would do.

Leave the Westell as it is. It serves addresses to  the new Linksys Router and IP phone
adaptor.

Tell the Router to also serve DHCP. However, manually configure the DNS portion of WAN
configuration with either the real DNS server IP that the Westell is using or DNS servers
of your own choosing.

You don't mention if you have the firewall functions in the Westell turned on or not, if
not, you should turn them on in the new Linksys.

As an aside, my wife has an IP phone from her office here in the house. It sits behind the
firewall/router. In fact, today I'm going to put it behind a Wireless AP. The purpose of
the IP phone adaptor being the first device is so ensure that it get the 80-120kb that
phone conversations require. This load is so low that unless your DSL is 128kb up, that it
should not be an issue and can be placed anywhere in the network. Naturally if you have a
problem, you can put it back. I should mention that here phone has no adaptor or rather
that the adaptor is built into the phone, and the phone is configured to find her office's
system using DHCP from my router, and join the IP Phone 'cloud' that comprises her offices
phone system. It then functions as any phone in her office, with extension dialing,
forwarding, multiple phone calls, hold, etc.

I've been reading about SunRocket. 2 phone numbers, all the features including E911,
$200/YEAR flat rate. Nothing else.
