Even though softphones will never give the quality of a hardware device, it's a pity we still don't have a VOIP softphone client for eComStation. If there were one, I could install it on my EeePC netbook and have the same capability that you refer to via my VSP.
There IS a working Java SIP application. I think I posted it already. If not someone remind me and I'll look around for it.

I'd be interested in that ! I have Java 1.5 working under ODIN, so if it needs the later version of Java, I think I can accommodate it in any case.
