These microwaves are said to be line-of-sight. So if a 2x4 stud in a
wall casts a shadow, or a mostly-water human body gets in the way,
signal strength should go way down.
But who's to say the motelier didn't substittute the $40 unit (with
rebate!!) from Staples for the $400 Cisco after he got the proposed
equipment list from the consultant?
