I'm on a fence about which platform to use. On OS/2, I've been seriously considering moving to CommuniGate Pro, which does support both of these. Abstracted from Stalker Software's feature list:

   * Mailing List manager
     <http://www.stalker.com/CommuniGatePro/LIST.html> with automatic
     bounce processing and a Web interface to list archives.
   * Secure Mail <http://www.stalker.com/CommuniGatePro/WebSMIME.html>
     (S/MIME) WebMail implementation (encryption/decryption, digital
     signing, signature verification).
   * Secure Authentication (SASL
     <http://www.stalker.com/CommuniGatePro/Security.html#SASL>) and
     Secure Transfer (SSL/TLS
     <http://www.stalker.com/CommuniGatePro/Security.html#TLS>) for
     SMTP, IMAP, POP, HTTP, LDAP, ACAP, PWD and Administration sessions.

However, recent server events have made me start thinking just as seriously about migrating services to my NetWare 6 server, and implementing Novell's NetMail. In addition, I'm considering moving my Apache-hosted websites to my NetWare 6 box, due to some stack overflow issues the resolution(s) to which may yet be some time in coming. (Apache 2.x's ThreadStackSize parameter has been fully implemented under NetWare, but not yet functional under OS/2; as a result, most of my PHP apps tend to cause Apache to choke on a fairly regular basis, and only a kludge to restart the service keeps things running as smoothly as they do.)

Pricewise, Novell's offering would be considerably more expensive than CommuniGate Pro for the number of accounts we now host (around 200 or so). Either way, though, I'll probably make the move this spring.

I will soon be deploying secure SMTP and POP3 on my server, and will offer it not only to our existing clients but to everyone here.

Ah, Lewis, this is really cool! Are you able to do this on an OS/2 platform? I
love Weasel, but secure SMTP and POP3 sound really inviting. If someone phishes
out my e-mail password, they can relay anything they want on my mail server.
