And in light of this endless thread I honestly dreaded mentioning it. I
did state not to screw with it unless everything else failed, but this is
what burned me in the beginning.

I know, but I have used two of Jen's drivers (IBM High Rate and the
Cisco350) and both use the identical parameters, so my guess is the Artem
driver, which was his first probably does as well.
