Very tricky for quite a few reasons. Sounds like there is some hoarding going on in this universe.... It is tricky coz you/we never know with which chipset these cards are build of. 4) Does it change things if I decide to get a Thinkpad T40 or X30...what exactly are the distinguishing markers between the different min-PCI cards and where do I find drivers for them? TP 40 has an internal wirelles intel I knew that. However it appears that there are 3 'flavours' and *one*of them is "blessed". There is only one flavour and it's not "blessed". You're mixing up with the T21/30 series. Yes. And I would also be assured that one day I would be rich. I just need to buy a lottery ticket every time and eventually I will get lucky........... My private clairvoyant told me I never will win any lottery.
