I went all through this last November. Lewis was kind enough to go out and buy
one too and try - It was he who discovered it was a realtek chipset.
Unfortunately manufacturers buy what ever chipset they can this week and never
change anything on the *outside* of the damn card.
Yes, there are a few V4s around, most likely the very first shipment, that work
with the prisim drivers. But anyone who has bought one in the last year has
ended up with a notworking realtek - as distinct from a networking prisim. :-)
It's the same with mini PCI LAN/modem cards. The Intel Pro 100 is supposed to
work with OS/2 for LAN & modem - but there are three flavours. All with the
same LAN chipset and three different modem chipsets and only *one* of those
actually works. Guess which one I got :-(
