Definitely not. You can check this with the "ifconfig lanx" command, XWLAN uses the very same API. IMHO if the DHCP server seems to return something and the client does not get configured,

IMV the wrong interface is being selected for DHCP - the one in setup.cmd  does npt appear to match the one in the dhcp client cfg file...

Excerpt from the INF file:
----------------------------------------
section "install Wireless LAN Monitor":
 Note:

?  It is highly recommended to no set any values for the TCP/IP interface
of the Wireless LAN devices within the TCP/IP configuration program,
but herefore only use the properties notebook of a connection profile.
----------------------------------------

As a conslusion: If one better does not configure the ip interface of the WLAN device in setup.cmd, as a result, the IP interface will and cannot and should not match anything in setup.cmd.

Moreover, what has not been included in the INF file: if DHCP is to be used with the WLAN device, you better don't configure DHCP for any other interface in setup.cmd as well (so in the TCP/IP configuration program). It should work, but sometimes it does not - remember that by design of IBM DHCP can be used for one interface at a time only, so if you start DHCP for the cabled interface in setup.cmd, theoretically it cannot be launched for another interface (the wireless one) afterwards. XWLAN tries to work around that limitation (release the lease, kill the deamon, dhcpstrt for the other interface), but this sometimes just does not work. And if so, XWLAN is not to blame, but only the designer of the DHCP  implementation.

bye, Christian
