I would suggest that you attempt to mirror the exact firmware rev of your working card. Many people spoke of difficulty getting WEP working with the older "internal" IBM driver, and I suspect the problems were firmware related. Whatever you do, you don't want to use the latest firmware for the Cisco cards, as this will break connectivity under non-Windows OSes (known issue, and supposedly will be fixed in the next release).
