Why?  Access Points are so cheap it doesn't make sense to tie up a PC for it.  I guess it would be one of those neat and nifty things to be able to do but no real benefit.  Or am I missing something?

Well you could do that easily enough with two regular network cards in your gateway computer running Injoy Firewall and then connect the inexpensive Access Point to one NIC and your Cable modem or whatever to the other NIC, the only thing you would need OS/2 driver's for is the networks cards.  Or use a router with a built in firewall, nat and wireless access point.

Is it very common to have Access Point software in other OS's?  I've never heard of it, but I am new to Wireless networks.
