I think that this is a problem related with Yours card or driver.
I have two cards Orinoco Silver and Jacaranda Blue and both are
working smooth with NetBIOS.

As does my High Rate 128 PCMCIA card and LinkSys Bridge.

How does the LinkSys Bridge work? My D-link router won't pass NetBIOS -- and
according to the RFC, it shouldn't. But a bridge should, right?

The router does give me wireless access behind my firewall, but not with
NetBIOS. It forces me to partition my network into two unconnected (as far as
NetBIOS is concerned) subnets.

A bridge costs five times as much as a router. But maybe it is worth it if it
works.

I work with a D-Link Access Point (DWL-900AP+) and a D-Link DWL-660 in my Thikpad (patched artem driver). This works great including NetBIOS. NetBIOS only will pass to wlan, if wlan has the same subnet. Routers will not work because of the changing subnet. Access points are cheaper then bridges (I think) and are operating in the same subnet.
