I haven't checked NetBIOS, but I finally got around to testing the latest firmware from Sputnik for their managed AP120 (a "flashed" Artem AP) and their Central Control app (which runs on RedHat 9). Apparent;ly, their stuff doesn't pass through IPX, as my NetWare box was nowhere to be found... :-(
In this case, however, the non-routable nature of NetBIOS doesn't apply to this logic, as IPX is indeed routable. Time for a note to Sputnik's development team!

My WiFi/Hub/ADSL Router (Vigor 2600We) will not pass raw netbios across
the wifi interface. Have had to switch my lan to using netbios over
tcpip. This seems to be a growing trend in only supporting what W*
support; I presume space is very tight in these multi-function boxes.
My D-Link DI-614+ router is the same. I believe that it is on purpose, because
NETBIOS is not "routable". While space is tight in those boxes, they seem to be
pretty good about implementing the basic spec.
