My D-Link DI-614+ router is the same. I believe that it is on purpose, because
NETBIOS is not "routable". While space is tight in those boxes, they seem to be
pretty good about implementing the basic spec.
I think I'll do what you did -- but I hope I can just "add" netbios over tcp/ip
rather than switch to it.
