Sam, the power management setting is in PROTOCOL.INI. I meant "under eCS" as in using that OS, not that there was an eCS Setup object.Alright. Here's the deal. I had a problem with the Wireless NIC not being recongnized and powered up on bootup. I updated to CardBus 8.0 and now that problem is cured.
Could you post your PROTOCOL.INI file? It should be located in \IBMCOM.

Where is the eCS Setup? In the System Setup folder there is the Power object and I have the Plugged in mode set to Maximum performance. But that is all I can find. I do have eCS 1.03 on this laptop.
Now I still couldn't have both NIC's in my laptop. I looked at the Protocol.ini and Setup.cmd and I think they are in synch but I'm not sure that I understand what Mark was telling me about which NIC is bound to what instance of TCP/IP.
However when I setup my system to work only with the Wireless NIC it works fine in Ad-Hoc mode. Also I received my Access Point yesterday and set that up and it works fine too.
So I think I'm pretty much good to go. But I would like to leave both NIC's configured in my system so that I can use my EtherLink III at work and my HiRate 128 at home or in Hotels with wireless access. So is this possible or should I just make two Protocol.ini's with a cmd file to switch back and forth as needed.
Thanks,
Sam
