What would be necessary for my A31p to do 802.11g, if possible at all. I'm
thinking that the mPCI Intersil Prism 2.5 chipset adapter need be flash
updated and drivers written for the opsys. Anyone know for sure?
Also, regarding the web camera issue discussed earlier, because I'm having
so much trouble with the IBM provided Odysses software (btw, Odyssey's
tech rep said they are no longer supporting it) I am wanting to ditch it
and purchase a 3rd party software for image transmission and manipulation.
You all should probably know that I wrote an email directly to Sam
Palmisano from his link on the IBM website and have received kid glove
treatment from the Executive staff personnel even to the tune of having
them put me onto an extremely educated tech rep who should today be back
at working with me one-on-one to attempt to get this issue sorted out. As
a final solution, if need be, I'm sending the whole shebang back to them
for credit and will continue looking for a workable solution, even if it
means the UltraPort connection on top of the lid of the LCD goes unused.
And, you might imagine the written correspondence I'll compose to Mr.
Palmisano should this end up being the case.
Anyway, I'm off to chat with the IBM tech rep and I'll let you know how far
we get. I hope everyone is interested. <G>
