I agree, Neil. Frankly, I'm just as happy to see the real code crunching done under an embedded OS in the box, instead of on my already-burdened computer.

Toward that end (now that we're talking about compatible hardware), and I haven't checked out the OCHL as yet, are there any USB Wi-Fi adapters with OS/2 drivers? Seems to me, this shouldn;t be a major stumbling block, as the chipset inside the USB adapter should be pretty much the same as that in a PCMCIA card. The nice thing about the USB boxes is that you can locate them where the signal is best (well, the restriction is the length of the USB cable). LinkSys even provides a little velcro to attach the unit to a surface.

Don't know about the particular camera you mentioned, but I've been using the Axis 2100 web cams for several years now with OS/2 and everything works 100%.  The cameras have ethernet and serial ports (I use ethernet) and I use Netscape/2 or Mozilla/2 to configure it and view the video streams.

I'm interested in obtaining a camera that is totally viewable from my eCS
computer. It is really helpful that you mentioned how you view images on OS/2
using your camera.

When I see a mention of hardware without mention of how to use it on eCS and
OS/2, then I often disregard the message. There is plenty of hardware out there
that we haven't figured out, or that just doesn't have a driver. I don't care
about that, I just want to know what I can get and use for eCS or OS/2.

(This isn't as limiting as it sounds, lots of the other stuff works just fine
with the Macintosh.)
