I doubt that you'll see a box which contains a DSL bridge in it, Charles. This is mainly due to the disparate nature of the components. Many DSL providers only support one particular model of DSL bridge (e.g., Westell WireSpeed), as many cable providers only support (and/or deploy) a single cable interface (e.g., Motorola Surfboard 5200).

Combining a router and a switch makes a lot of sense, as the router may then be teamed with whatever is on the backend (even an analog modem, in some cases), an this obviates the need to purchase a second box to split the signal (switch). Likewise, combining a router, a switch, and a wireless access point makes sense. However, going farther in the other direction (i.e., closer the service closet) doesn't as the units become too descript. In fact, I would argue that even decoupling the AP from the switch and router makes more sense, so that the AP may be upgraded without tossing the rest of the package.

As far as the Buffalo AP is concerned, I haven't used one yet. I did purchase that 54g PC card for my client today, though ($60 at CompUSA - I hate that place, but it sure was nice to be able to walk in and pull one from the shelf), so I'll have something to report on the performance of the card soon.
