OK, everyone. I need some suggestions. I noticed that no one bit on my troll about DSL wireless routers. Anyway, I

SWEET!  Just what we've needed for oh so many years. Anyway, I've been volunteered to get a secure wireless router. I'm looking
for  one with the most highly configurable software, both flashable
firmware and  upgradable firewall, that has the best of everything. For
now, WEP 128-bit  encryption with a chipset capable of upgrading to v1.0
WPA, specific MAC  filtering, and SSID cloaking.
The new SMC 2804WBR will do all this, and then some. You have to download the updated final version 802.11g firmware, then you also get the new WPA keyword system builtin. Stanley has already pointed you to the SMC site.

However, there are no OS/2 drivers for any wireless card, that I'm aware of, that has the new Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA-- subset of the still unfinished IEEE 802.11i) enabled. I'd love to find one. It is only a driver issue, no hardware changes are required in the cards. I'm using the IBM high-speed 128bit wireless card, so I have only WEP available on the card. But I use it only for broadband access, and MAC restrict, and hide the ESSID.
